Pre heat the oven to 375 F
Grind all of the dry whole spice seeds, (I use a coffee grinder that i keep for the purpose - it never sees coffee)
Mix in the salt, cinnamon and grated ginger
Combine and add the oil, vinegar, lemon juice, maple syrup
Finely chop the scallions and add to the mixture
Wash and cube the pear, (I like to leave the skin on for color).
Add it to the spice mix and combine thoroughly
Pour the mixture into a small roasting pan or oven safe pirex dish and
Put into the warm oven for 20 - 25 mins.
NOTE:
If you have an inflammatory skin condition, you might want to exclude the ginger which although it has great anti inflammatory properties, is very heating. Also avoid chilli at all costs, and possibly even pepper.
