Breakfast smoothies are a great way to get your nutrients, and avoid heavy fried foods, or carb and sugar loaded cereals.
They are easy to make with any good quality liquidizer.
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 ripe soft pear
- 1/4 cup of raw macadamia nuts
- 1/4 cup of raw cashews
- 1 - 1.5 cups of water
- pinch of cinnamon (optional).
- I also hide some vitamin supplements in here (emptying 3 capsules of calcium, a couple of drops of vit D oil and a capsule of pro biotics into the liquidizer).
- Steps:
- Add the water, cinnamon and nuts to the liquidizer (and supplements if you are adding them).
- Liquidize for 1 min or until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Add the peeled banana and cored pear
- Liquidize for 30 seconds or so
- Serve
- Serves 2.
