Pear and Banana Smoothie

Breakfast smoothies are a great way to get your nutrients, and avoid heavy fried foods, or carb and sugar loaded cereals.

They are easy to make with any good quality liquidizer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 ripe soft pear
  • 1/4 cup of raw macadamia nuts
  • 1/4 cup of raw cashews
  • 1 - 1.5 cups of water
  • pinch of cinnamon (optional).
  • I also hide some vitamin supplements in here (emptying 3 capsules of calcium, a couple of drops of vit D oil and a capsule of pro biotics into the liquidizer).
  • Steps:
  • Add the water, cinnamon and nuts to the liquidizer (and supplements if you are adding them).
  • Liquidize for 1 min or until the mixture is completely smooth.
  • Add the peeled banana and cored pear
  • Liquidize for 30 seconds or so
  • Serve
  • Serves 2.
