2 important amino acids – proline and glycine.Glycine supports detoxification and helps the body synthesize collagen. It aids in wound healing and supports the release of growth hormones.Proline tightens and builds cell structures, strengthening them. A strong collagen structure heals leaky guts, reduces the appearance of cellulite, and improves the strength of skin and vein walls.Ingredients:

3lb of beef or lamb bones

3 tblsp of vinegar

10 - 12 cups of filtered water (depending on your slow cooker - you may need to supplement a bit more water as it evaporates)

A crock pot

Steps:

  1. Roast the bones on a baking sheet for 45 mins
  2. Place the bones and other ingredients into the crock pot and cook for 43 - 50 hours
  3. Put the whole crock pot into the fridge until the soup has jellied and the fat has formed a solid layer of tallow on the top.
  4. Remove the tallow
  5. Reheat the until just liquid (not too hot)
  6. and strain into mason jars.

Tip:

  • make sure that you do not fill over the shoulder of the jar. (just to the bottom of the curve)

  • Refrigerate over night

  • Place in the freezer with the lids slightly loose.

Tip:

Don't season or add veggies until its pretty much done. The long slow cooking will break down most of the delicate vitamins in veggies and herbs.

Notes:

We use this for cooking rice or quinoa, and for making stews and soups, even smoothies and baked goods.

It is very minerally so you will need to add lots of lemon, preserved lemon or fresh ginger to balance out the flavors.
