The chateau grounds include:
Accommodations
Self catering accommodation for 10. The Old Bakery offers 3 bedrooms with four double beds, and a pull out sofa in the living room. A children’s dormitory in the attic space, with space for four children, will be added before spring 2025.
Work in progress *** we have a large Bridal Suit, above the Chateau chapel, that will undergo renovations to be available for summer 2025.
A Gite de France self catering accommodation rental exist in the same village, about 300 meters from the southern edge of the Chateau grounds, offering a 3 bedroom unit, suitable for 6 people.
Upon request we are also happy to provide you with a list of suitable local rentals and hotels in the area, within a 30 minute radius.
Venue Spaces
Orangery.
A grand 17th Century Orangery – for 120 seated guests inside, and 20 seated guests outside on the terrace.
The orangery, has 3 toilets, close parking for caterers, caterers staging area, (in an outside tented space),
Handicapped parking for 2 cars, grass parking for 60 cars.
Water front ceremony / reception at the Pond.
On the west side of the Chateau, there is an open meadow situated beside a large stone lined pond. It sits between the back of the Orangery with its bathrooms and catering accommodations, and in-front of the massive Medieval walls of the Chateau’s outer fortifications.
With fairy lights hung among the trees, and floating candles on the surface of the water, to reflect on the surface of the pond. Guests / Ceremony participants can be arranged around the water’s edge, to provide a magical experience.
In this arrangement the Orangery can serve as a dining room, dance floor, lounge and bar, after the ceremony.
A 19th Century village church across the road from the Chateau’s South West border, can be rented for more formal / religious wedding ceremonies, or as a back up solution in case of rain.
Other locations:
Woodland glade.
We can also offer a flat woodland glade.
Raised on a hillside, an ancient woodland, with massive trees, occupies a large flat terrace. Beneath the trees there is leafy glade, where the trees thin to allow sufficient light to filter to the woodland floor. The space is large enough to permit seating for 100 people, but is a walk in location, accessible only by walking a quarter km woodland path.
Although this is a walk in location a 4 wd golf cart can be used for set up.
Temporary solar / battery power can be provided for lights and amplified music, if appropriate.
No plumbing is available at this site.
For smaller events:
- South Lawn with views of the Pyranees Mountains.
A sloping south facing lawn.
Guests are seated facing the view, and the couple, with their backs to south face of the Chateau.
- The Chateau’s private Chateau Chapel seats 40
- A Stone Circle on the south facing hillside, can be used to host ceremonies, or intimate private dining experiences.
Temporary solar power can be provided for lights and amplified music, if appropriate.
