The Campostella pilgrammage routes extend accross Europe to Portugal. The lovely walking paths through the Gers are well signposted and have good resources along the way. Taking the walker through some exquisite countryside and a great number of beautiful villages. This part of the route is called the Via Podiensis. It departs rom Puy-en-Velay, (5hrs north of us) and goes to the Spanish boarder in the Pyrenees mountains, 2 hours to our south. If you don’t have time for the full month long walk – Choose one or more of these day long ‘stages’ for a taste of the full route:

These 6 stages will take you through the famous brocanting town of Lectoure, with its medieval heritage and its Star Farm; Beautiful La Romieu and its famous cloisters and collegiate church; the episcopal city of Condom, the early medieval fortified village of Larressingle , Montreal -du-Gers , Eauze the ancient capital of Armagnac, with its Roman heritage; and Nogaro, famous for its Landes race, Glider port and formula one race track. |
